Use Answer Focused Blogging To Get More Conversions

Get More Clients With Answer Based Blogging

Answer focused blogging does two things:

  1. 1. It brings you more website traffic. It's a high level search engine optimisation play that will get more eyeballs on your site. Not only that, but it is HYPER relevant to your sales cycle. It's not just filler content, it is direct pain point targeted content marketing.
  2. 2. Use direct pain point targeted content marketing to show your ideal prospects that you can solve the exact problems that they want to solve but might not have the skills, people, or tools to solve themselves.

So what is answer based blogging?

It's simple, you answer the questions that are most important to your target market.

By answering these pertinent questions, when someone types into Google "How do I.... ?", you show up front and centre with the answer.

Anyone searching this key question is already highly likely to be in the intent stage of buying a service like yours, so your analytics recognition should reflect this. If you get one of these prospects in your funnel, know that they need a problem solved.

But how do you know which questions to answer?

  1. 1. You use online tools, much like keyword research tools, but tools that are focused around the key questions asked online. How do you know which questions might be being asked? Well you enter in some keywords related to your industry and services, and the tool will give you back a long list of potentially related questions that are being asked online. And you iterate from there refining your search further.
  2. 2. You do customer research. You know who has problems similar to or the same as the problems your ICP has? Your existing customers... Meet with them to talk about the pain points they are facing, this will serve two advantages: One, you will have a wealth of insight into how to structure your answer based content marketing strategy, and two, you might even be able to cross sell your client on other solutions to take care of those exact pain points for them.

Tactics to help you get started:

  1. 1. Do a quick search in your emails and chats for a question mark "?" - find any relevant questions that your clients have asked, or your internal team has asked, that anyone has asked, and write a blog about them.
  2. 2. You know where people ask a lot of questions? Quora. If you're not on Quora at least with alerts set up for key interest groups and topics, then you need to be. You should also actually be posting and engaging on Quora as part of your content marketing and dark social strategy.

Bonus Tip:

Don't just write a blog about it, repurpose that blog into a series of social media posts, an email. Once you have several blogs on the same topic, combine it into a lead magnet. Do a podcast on each, create a podcast series. Rome wasn't built in a day, but they had to start to finish it. You won't build your media empire in a day either, but you have to start to get there, don't delay, get unstuck now, and start.
